Kaelyn Mohrfeld

In the summer of 2015 Kaelyn Mohrfeld joined the staff at Five Oaks Animal Hospital but has been expanding her skills with animals in many categories over the years. At an early age she began to show livestock, primarily goats, in which she has won several awards for her achievements. In addition, her family is involved with local hog farms where her development of new management skills is essential for one of North Carolina’s leading industries. With her 12yr old cattle dog Daisy, Kaelyn is an active turkey hunter and is involved with many aspects of the local community. She has also become an aspiring member of the Pink Hill Rurta club. But even though she feels the local events are important, her favorite activities are the random adventures with her best friends, her family. Kaelyn is currently attending North Carolina State University for a degree in Agricultural Science for which she plans to use to attend veterinary school. With the clientele of Five Oaks Animal Hospital growing so rapidly, the once easy decision of choosing between large and small animal has become more difficult as her love for small animal medicine has grown. Whichever field she chooses, she will always have a place here at Five Oaks.
